Transhumanism (abbreviated as H+) is an international intellectual movement focused on transforming the human condition through advanced technologies designed to enhance both intellectual and physical capacities.

Transhumanists view death as a disease to be cured, and they believe it may be possible for humans to achieve agelessness. This belief drives the quest for immortality.

Currently, scientists are working on extending human life to support deep space exploration, including missions to the closest stars. Research in this area is ongoing.

Just as plastic surgery was once an expensive and niche practice but has become more accessible and popular, so too will life-extending technologies. In the future, these technologies are expected to become widely available and affordable, potentially making them a trend among the elite.

Enhancing our abilities through technology is part of our very nature. Throughout history, we have developed tools and innovations—such as language, the knife, the control of fire, mathematics, phones, and the internet—that have defined and advanced our species. Embracing technology is intrinsic to what it means to be human.

The quest to immortality : The Heart

The heart is one of the most crucial organs in our body, essential for keeping us alive. If it stops beating, our life ends. But what if it didn’t have to stop?

Currently, there is a person who has lived for a whole year with an artificial heart. This device, kept in a backpack, has taken over the function of his biological heart. As technology advances, we can expect these devices to become smaller, more efficient, and more affordable, potentially extending human life significantly.

The heart is central to the quest for immortality. This is not science fiction—it's happening now. This is the future unfolding before us.

The quest to immortality : The Body

Our physical bodies are inherently fragile, but advancements in bionics, prosthetics, exoskeletons, biotechnology, implants, and organ replacement are poised to significantly extend our physical capabilities and replace damaged organs. In the future, what we currently view as disabilities may become advantages, and human enhancement could become a widespread trend.

Paralympic events might evolve into some of the most exciting and high-profile sports competitions. People might even opt to replace their organic body parts with more advanced and versatile bionic prosthetics. Cyborgs are already among us, demonstrating that this is not science fiction—it's happening right now.

This is the future unfolding before us.

The quest to immortality : The Mind

In the future, we will be able to decode the complexities of the human brain, understanding its functions in unprecedented detail. This breakthrough will allow us to enhance its capabilities, much like installing new programs on a computer. We could potentially add new skills or information directly to our brains and expand its capacity by connecting it to the internet.

Currently, our smartphones act as an external memory, storing information we can't or don't want to remember and providing instant access to new data. Imagine having that capability directly embedded in your brain, enabling you to share and access knowledge from anywhere at any time.

With a brain linked to the cloud, we could store vast amounts of information and even upload a digital copy of our consciousness. This represents a path to digital immortality—our physical bodies may perish, but our consciousness could persist indefinitely in cyberspace.

This is not science fiction; it is happening now. This is the future.
